Should I drive?

  1. Sure thing! Go ahead and drive. It is FREE parking. But do remember to go to the Associate’s Dean’s Office (above the canteen) to collect your daily carpark coupons. The system at AH is actually very inconvenient. They issue 5 single-exit non-reusable carpark coupons for the week. So if you have to leave AH and return later, you will have to use another coupon to get free parking, and you will end up with no coupon for the next day. You can only collect 5 coupons each time so you have to go to the office every week.
  2. The solution is to ask your other CG mates who may drive only occasionally to apply for the free parking and collect the coupons every week, so you can have some excess coupons on your hands.
  3. So remember to collect your daily coupons every Monday!

 

Makan Sutra

  1. Canteen
    1. There are only 4 food stalls and 1 drinks stall, so it is pretty sad and the canteen has a bad smell according to certain sources. I find it acceptable.
    2. The western food and malay food stalls are not bad.
  2. Free apples at AH outpatient clinics and A&E
    1. This is such a lovely thing! They put in the apples into this basket near the water cooler everyday.
  3. Alexandra Village
    1. Once you’re bored of the canteen (probably within a week) and find that you have 2 hours to your next tutorial, do take a hike and proceed to Alexandra village! The food there will be worth your sweat, I promise!
  4. Ikea
    1. Only if you are REALLY free and REALLY loaded with cash.
  5. Queensway Shopping Centre
    1. Macdonalds – need I say more?
