Should I drive?
-
PLEASE THINK TWICE!!
-
The sad thing about
parking at KKH is that it is NOT FREE and VERY EXPENSIVE!
-
They do not provide free
parking because even the doctors who work there have to pay to park in the
underground carpark.
-
They will charge $1.60
per day. If your posting is 4 weeks long (which is most likely going to be),
they will start counting from the first day to the last day of the posting,
INCLUSIVE OF WEEKENDS.
-
For those who choose to
park at KKH, you can drive on the first day as they will give you 2
complimentary tickets upon registration at the security office at B1.
-
An alternative is to park
opposite KKH at the Kampong Java URA carpark. It is coupon parking, so it
might be a cheaper alternative to park at KKH instead.
-
$1.60 is actually not
that expensive, if you consider the fact that public transport to and fro will
probably cost more.
-
Tip for those parking at
KKH: it pays to come early because the car park fills up really fast! You
don’t want to be caught in a queue to the carpark 5min to your tutorial (like
me.. eeps!) or end up parking at the Women’s Tower and walk all the way to the
Children’s Tower.
