Hey dudes, here's a couple of links to some important or useful sites..

Please let me know if there are broken links!  lianwq@singnet.com.sg

Official NUS Sites Senior's Pages
NUS Mednet (NUS password required) Online English-Chinese Medical Dictionary
Check your timetable, track syllabus and even classmates' photos here!  Has good links to medical websites. This is a great webpage by a senior.  It's the best English-Chinese medical dictionary available online, and you can even email him for words not found on his site.

NUS Faculty of Medicine Dr Gerald Tan's Webpage
This is the Dean's Office webpage.  It has links to all the other departments of the faculty. This site contains many useful things such as TYS, weblinks, and a HO survival guide, just to name a few.

NUS Medical Society
Has information regarding the activities of the Medsoc, as well as a couple of useful downloadable notes.

NUS Medical Humanities
Check out this site for more of those downloadable TYS and notes.

Local Healthcare Providers Local Medical Sites

www.sgdr.com Singapore Urological Association
A site done up by SingHealth with forums, links and useful information. A site with local guidelines for the management of urological disease. Must see!!

www.lokun.nhg.com.sg
A site by National Healthcare Group, with useful information

General Anatomy

Medical Student.com Instant Anatomy
If you've got time to spare, surf about this site.  Lots of valuable links, and stuff all medical students should (or will) know. This, if I'm not wrong, is Prof Sit's most commonly recommended site.  This place has good concise drawings to explain most stuff about anatomy.

Online Medical Dictionary Gray's Anatomy
Much more efficient than a conventional dictionary, you really should bookmark this site if you have a 24-hour internet connection. All you've even wanted to know about anatomy is here.  No clinical application, though, so it's really the hard and dry Gross Anatomy.

Student Doctor Network Prof Raj's Flash Files Part One (NUS password rqd)
Another one of those websites dedicated to medical students.  Lots of links as well, you could very well spend half the day here. This site houses Prof. Raj's embryology flash files.  If you haven't attended his lectures yet you might be lost because there are not proper annotations, just graphics.

Medical Student Resource Guide Pro Raj's Flash Files Part Two (NUS password rqd)
The name says it all.  Looks like the world's not so cruel to medical students after all, huh? The second of the two great sites with Prof. Raj's embryology flash files.  Great for embryology revision.

Free Books For Doctors The Human Embryology Website
Here's a place you can go to look for free online medical books.  This is the supplementary website for the text Larson's Embryology, but  you don't need to buy the book to use the site.  Contains stuff like embryology animations.

Free Medical Journals
This site is linked to Free Books For Doctors, and it lists all the free medical journals available on the web.

Internal Medicine General Surgery

Merck Mannual Surgical instruments
The online version of a book with the same name.  We hardly use this book locally, but it's worth a trip if you need some help with a PBL or a relative's bugging you about a condition you've never heard of. This is from Dr Gerald's webpage but I thought it'll be good to highlight it here, since  we get quizzed on instruments quite often.

Family Practice Notebook
This site has good information for the family practitioner in note form. My clinical group buddy Mark likes this site a lot!
