Ophthalmology Textbook Reviews

Colour Atlas Of Ophthalmology, ASM Lim & I Constable

This is the most commonly used book to supplement the lecture notes supplied.  The pictures are quite good but it is rather costly.

Basic Ophthalmology for Medical Students and General Practitioners

This is recommended reading by the department, but there really isn't a need to mug the book unless you are really interested in the topic.  Overall, this book is a pretty good read, and quite easy to understand.

Opthalmology In Focus

I found this book really useful as it has plenty of photos and also summaries of the various conditions in ophthalmology.

Ophthalmology An Illustrated Colour Text

Most of my clinical group used this book to supplement their notes.  Unfortunately you may not be able to finish reading it in two weeks, and also it is a little big to carry into the clinics for reference.
